 My main case example is myself, considering I am currently in an esports community for the game League of Legends at Rutgers and also involved in servers across the country and world. These communities are everywhere, big and small, and the college experience i have with connecting with gamers in New Jersey has helped developed relationships that are good friends and some relationships have offered help with school, jobs and other resources. The community brought from online to in person there is both in a club like this, where some meet up and still play online and some other prefer online meeting and playing. These friendships built are possibilities for future jobs, friendships, relationships, etc. This is an example of how social capital provides individual benefits whether that is looking for happiness with friends or future possibilities.
